FIBGAR, El Club de las 25 and the Equality Unit of the Complutense University of Madrid<\/strong> celebrate the presentation of the Network of Women for Memory and Democracy (REDMEM)<\/strong>, an initiative dedicated to making visible the role of women in democratic memory and strengthening their active participation in democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This meeting aims to foster the creation of a Network of Women for Memory and Democracy<\/strong>, promoting intergenerational dialogue and the exchange of experiences to consolidate democratic values and social justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day will begin with an initial greeting from Isabel Tajahuerce \u00c1ngel, Rector’s Delegate for Equality at the Complutense University of Madrid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will feature the participation of prominent speakers in two panel discussions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Panel 1: \u00abFeminist movement and democratic memory: Justice, truth and reparation\u00bb<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lourdes Pastor Mart\u00ednez – Singer, sociologist and feminist activist<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blanca Calvo Alonso – Historian and disseminator<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mar\u00eda Bueno Morales – President of collectives of Victims of Enforced Disappearances<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amalia Rosado Orqu\u00edn – Doctor in Gender<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rosana S\u00e1ez Mu\u00f1oyerro – Creator of the podcast \u2018La Caja 198. A rural history of silences\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Panel 2: \u00ab<\/strong>Democracy and the role of women: Challenges and advances in gender equality\u00bb<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carmina Gustr\u00e1n Loscos – Commissioner for the celebration of 50 years of Spain in Freedom<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Natalia Junquera – Journalist specialising in Human Rights and Memory (El Pa\u00eds)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cristina Almeida Castro – President of the Club of 25<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Francisca Sauquillo P\u00e9rez del Arco – Founder and president of the Movement for Peace since 1984<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emilia Gra\u00f1a Ramos- Sabugo – Political scientist and member of the Democratic Women’s Movement<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N\u00faria Gonz\u00e1lez L\u00f3pez – Lawyer specialising in Human Rights and member of the statewide feminist platform \u2018La Fuerza de las Mujeres\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day will include a musical performance by Lourdes Pastor <\/strong>with Mel\u00f3n Jim\u00e9nez <\/strong>on guitar, as well as a space for collaborative work <\/strong>to establish the calendar of activities<\/strong> of the Women’s Network for Memory and Democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
