RESILIENT YOUTH: School of Youth Activism is an initiative promoted by FIBGAR that aims to offer 30 young people between the ages of 15 and 17 from the Valencian Community a transformative educational experience. The project is primarily aimed at participants from municipalities affected by the effects of the DANA (Isolated Depression at High Levels), offering them this training as a tool to transform their environments and realities.
Through an innovative and intensive proposal, the project seeks to strengthen resilience, critical thinking, youth leadership and democratic participation, using democratic memory as a cross-cutting axis of learning and action. The aim is to provide participants with concrete tools to reflect on their reality, connect with their environment and build collective proposals that have an impact on their communities from an inclusive, committed and transformative perspective.
The core of the initiative is a Youth Activism School to be held during the weekend of 24-26 October 2025, in a natural and accessible space where young people will live together, share learning and design proposals for community action. The programme includes:
One of the most valuable features of the project is that it promotes direct action: the projects devised during the school will not remain on paper. The projects developed will receive funding from FIBGAR for their development, which must be carried out within a maximum period of six months, with the support and monitoring of the FIBGAR technical team and the mentors.
RESILIENT YOUTH represents a firm commitment to an active, informed and empowered youth, capable of transforming pain and exclusion into a driving force for positive change. A resilient generation that, through memory, commitment and collective work, builds new ways of practising democracy in the present.
