Education / Human rights
International Criminal Law has undergone significant development in recent decades, becoming an essential component of the international legal system.
Despite the progress, current events highlight that international criminal justice faces several significant challenges. Delving into the study of International Criminal Law not only facilitates understanding these obstacles but also raises awareness about the importance of combating impunity. Education and research in International Criminal Law play a fundamental role in promoting a culture of respect for human rights and the rule of law, contributing to the prevention of future atrocities and building lasting peace in regions affected by violence and injustice.
For these reasons, the virtual seminar series “The Current Challenges of International Criminal Law” was organized, aimed at addressing emerging trends and complex issues facing the international criminal system today.
These events were targeted at legal professionals, academics, students, and the public interested in international criminal justice, providing a space for learning, debate, and critical reflection.
