43 hours for Ayotzinapa campaign

In 2015, together with other organisations, FIBGAR organised the 43 hours for Ayotzinapa campaign to demand truth, justice and memories for the missing students and their families.

On the night of 26 September 2014, 43 students from the Normal Rural School of Ayotzinapa disappeared in the Mexican city of Iguala, in the state of Guerrero. The disappearance of the 43 is known as the Ayotzinapa case and is one of the most mediatic scandals in the country’s violent history.

Through the participation of various art collectives, music groups, trade unions, student movements, human rights organisations and progressive church sectors, community was built with the families of the young people disappeared.
