Creative Lab: Fight against human trafficking

During 2017 and 2018, in collaboration with Asociación para la prevención, reinserción y atención a la mujer prostituida (APRAMP), a series of theatrical workshops were given to 9 Nigerian women victims of trafficking, aged between 17 and 21, who were in the first phase of recovery.

The objectives of these workshops were:

  • To enhance the individual skills (creative, professional and personal) of the women. Dance, theatre and singing are the vehicles for the development of these skills and to reinforce identity, avoiding re-victimisation.
  • Improve the coexistence in the sheltered flats through group dynamics of theatre work.
  • Work on communication skills to structure the idea, content and messages of a personal project, with a view to their professional future.
  • Language improvement through text and spoken work.
