Intersectoral Fora for Social Transition
Advocacy / Human rights
Since its foundation in October 2006, the Pro Access Coalition has been working for the promotion and protection of the right of access to information in Spain, as well as for the adoption of a law that facilitates the full recognition and exercise of this right, complying with European and international standards. Some of the demands of the Pro-Access Coalition materialized in December 2014, with the entry into force of the Law on Transparency, Access to Information and Good Governance.
Today, with nearly 100 civil society organizations and more than 1,500 signatories supporting its strategic action, the Pro Access Coalition continues to work to build a culture of transparency in Spain, so that authorities guarantee access to public information and citizen participation in decision-making.
