¡Memorízate!-Let’s activate our democratic memory!

In 2020, FIBGAR launched Memorízate!-Activate our democratic memory! thanks to the co-funding received by the Ministry of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory.

Following the path started by the Memorízate platform, this project aims to build and disseminate content that promotes interest in democratic memory among young people, so that they can become true protagonists of the process of remembering our past and their own democratic identity.

Let’s activate our democratic memory! involves the generation of shared resources that integrate testimonies and vital experiences to not forget the seriousness of Human Rights violations, without hatred or resentment, within the framework of a Human Rights approach, based on the pillars of truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-repetition.

By facilitating the knowledge of what happened through the voice of its protagonists, democratic values will be promoted and strengthened, since memory is not only a right of the victims and their families, but also a collective right, both of present and future generations, since, through the recognition of our past and its learning, we can better understand the present and fulfill the moral obligation to build a better future together.
